The group Psychoneuropharmacology is part of the Medical Faculty of the University of Nijmegen and has strong research connections with several departments of the academic hospital such as Neurology, Medical Psychology and Psychiatry, as well as with the Central Animal Laboratory.
The department is a cornerstone of the Nijmegen Institute for Neurosciences, and forms an integrated part of the national KNAW graduate School "Nijmegen Institute for Cognition and Information" (NICI). It has research-contracts with various universities in Europe, Canada, USA and Japan, and industrial companies on an interim basis.
